Hi,
I am opening this thread to challenge the best Fairplay+HLS method for UHD VoD content protection together with non-mobile devices.
SAMPLE-AES or AES-128 ?

Hi Nicolas,
Fairplay works only with SAMPLE-AES.
Please note that Fairplay is only available on Apple + Safari devices, so will likely need to encode another stream for the other devices.

To underline @ludovic.michaud’s statement above:
The Apple HLS Authoring Specification clearly states in the Content Protection section:

13.2. If the content is encrypted with FPS, the method MUST be SAMPLE-AES.
