Hello Bitmovin Team,

As a sanitization step, we’d like to be able to convert any kind of subtitles format into TTML.
Inputs being:

  • srt
  • vtt
  • ebu/stl

Hi Maël,
thanks for reaching out!
At the moment, we don’t support converting these subtitle formats (e.g., VTT or EBU-STL) to TTML directly within Bitmovin’s VOD encoder.

However, SRT inputs can be converted to IMSC, which is a profile of TTML and compatible with EBU-TT-D and SMPTE-TT.
We’ve also noted your broader request for full subtitle format conversion as a potential feature for future development.
