Is there a way to make a progressive file downloadable throught the player?

Thanks for asking in the community. What SDK/platform are you targeting? Note that our mobile SDK’s allow downloading content for offline playback, as per:

• Mobile SKDs: Control and Customize Offline Playback for Mobile SDKs
• Bitmovin Docs - Player Tutorials | Offline Playback with the Bitmovin iOS SDK
• Bitmovin Docs - Player Tutorials | Offline playback with the Bitmovin Android SDK

Otherwise, if what you’re looking for is the possibility to leverage a UI button or API call (eg: on Web SDK) to download a progressive file (eg: mp4) to the viewer’s device for later playback via any local player (not necessarily Bitmovin), that would be a feature request which I’d suggest raising here in order to ensure visibility from our Product team: Requests - Bitmovin Community
