Microsoft has recently added support for role based access control to Azure Blob storage using Microsoft Entra ID. Some customers are now asking, is this supported by Bitmovin?
The answer is not today, currently Bitmovin customers can access Azure Blob storage using token based access.
For VOD the storage can be used as an input and output.
For Live the storage can be used as an output and live origin.
Updates to the integration for VOD and Live to support role based authorization for Azure Blob storage is planned as part of the mid-term roadmap.
