DASH Playback failure

Bitmovin team,

We encountered playback issue for DASH stream in Minerva Application. On preliminary analysis, we found that the manifest files are getting successfully resolved. But it fails for a DRM check with the error type ‘DRM_PROVIDER_FAILURE’ and error message ‘Unsupported protocol in licens
e-key PCA’.

We checked with the Bitmovin test player and we are having successful playback.

The version of Bitmovin player in this test player is V8.124.0 and the current version we are using V8.75.0.

Please look into the issue.

As you mentioned, playback is working fine in the latest player version. Given that 8.75.0 was released more than 1.5 years ago, I’d strongly recommend upgrading the player. That should also resolve the problem.

Thank you for the update. is there any way we could confirm the playback have issue in the V8.75.0 test player?
Before we raise the issue with the app development team, we would like to be confirmed that it’s the player version is causing the playback issue here.

Hi Sanal, to closing the loop here, as discussed in the support ticket, the issue is related to DRM server endpoint and not a player issue. The playback works fine with both 8.75.0 and latest player versions with the different endpoint.
