AV1 per-title encoding is now possible with the Bitmovin Simple Encoding API

Hi Everyone! Today our AV1 encoding got a nice upgrade and can now be used with our per-title encoding. Even better, we added it our new Simple Encoding API, so if you haven’t tried that yet, it’s a good excuse to check out both. Documentation here.

With a single API request you get:

  • Bitmovin’s Per-title optimized ABR encoding

  • AV1 video and AAC audio encoding with DASH packaging and manifest

  • Thumbnails and sprites, support for multiple audio tracks and subtitles

Here’s a postman collection with some basic templates for both H264 and AV1.
