Add decoding support for "ipcm" audio codec

Situation

We see that more of our content producers are using new Sony cameras (e.g. the FX3) that use the audio codec “ipcm” for recording. When we try to process those files with bitmovin the encoding fails because the audio codec is not supported for decoding.
Newer versions of ffmpeg already support this codec.

Feature Request

Bitmovin should be able to decode sources with ipcm audio.

Hi Daniel

Thanks for raising. With Markus enjoying his well-deserved vacation, let me check with the team where we stand in terms of supporting the ipcm codec. I will come back to you in the next few days on this.

Best regards
Reinhard

Hi Daniel

The support for ipcm is a known gap and is already scheduled on our product roadmap. You can expect a release supporting ipcm by the beginning of December. Does that fit your timeline?

Best regards
Reinhard

Hi Reinhard!
That timeline works perfectly for us, thank you!

Hi Daniel

Happy to let you know that ipcm support was released in encoder version 2.185.0 today. Encoder 2.150.0 - 2.185.0
