Encoding failure with unknown reason

We have WebM (VP9) videos which pass Bitmovin encoding task and which fails for same encoding setup.
These two classes of WebM videos are generated by the same application (using Chrome desktop capture capability on browser extension).

Bitmovin’s encoding status API does not tell much about failure reason, and ffprobe output looks similar for those two classes.

Is there a good way to debug this kind of problem?
