Thumbnail's ACL changed from Public to Private after created

Question

I followed the instructions from this post How to generate a thumbnail/poster image on VOD Encoding? to create a thumbnail/poster image. It created a thumbnail image successfully. However, the Acl was changed from PUBLIC_READ to PRIVATE and I got an Access Denied exception when displaying the image. I am not sure it’s a bug or a feature and how can I create it as PUBLIC_READ?

Thanks for reaching out. When configuring the thumbnails, did you explicitly set the ACL for the Encoding Output to ‘Public Read’

If the configuration was created successfully, please provide the encoding ID and I’ll gladly look into it further.

Thanks for your quick reply! Yes, I did set the ACL explicitly to PUBLIC READ. The encoding Id is 7c1aebf4-6c45-4bcf-8721-bb1661162d99.
