Description

In our Web implementation for Xbox, we’ve found that the shouldRecreateSourceBuffersOnPeriodSwitch SourceOption helps resolve a Playback issue related to switching between Ad and non-Ad periods.

We have similar issues on the Android platform (which are present in ExoPlayer 1.4.1+) and were wondering if Bitmovin could expose this same shouldRecreateSourceBuffersOnPeriodSwitch setting in the SourceOptions for Android so we can see if it resolves our issue.

Hello, thanks for sending this feature request. We don’t currently have this feature on our roadmap. We have worked to improve switching between ad & non-ad playback on Android recently and so I’d be interested to know what type of issues you’re seeing so I can look into whether we can help in another way. Could you share more details about the issues?
