With the latest Bitmovin Android Player version 3.36.0 we updated the Kotlin version to 1.8.20. This is the first release built with the minor version Kotlin 1.8 .
Friendly reminder that with this version Kotlin synthetics for views is no longer supported. So if you are still using this feature, don’t forget to migrate .
Hint: Should this catch you by surprise, you can still use the Bitmovin Player Android SDK from a project building with Kotlin 1.7.x.
