# VMAP support with the Bitmovin Advertising Module lands on Player iOS SDK

Starting with **Player iOS SDK** [`3.131.0`](https://developer.bitmovin.com/playback/docs/release-notes-ios#31310), the Bitmovin Advertising Module can load, play and track VMAP ad tags. VMAP no longer needs Google IMA on iOS, as on Android.

Usage:

```swift
var vmapUrl: URL

let vmapSource = AdSource(tag: vmapUrl, ofType: .bitmovin)
let adItem = AdItem(adSources: [vmapSource])
let playerConfig = PlayerConfig()
playerConfig.advertisingConfig = AdvertisingConfig(schedule: [adItem])

```

The VMAP document defines the positions of its own breaks, so no position is needed on the [`AdItem`](https://cdn.bitmovin.com/player/ios/3/documentation/bitmovinplayercore/aditem).

Not supported yet: `repeatAfter`, `allowMultipleAds`, `followRedirects` and the #N offset.

**React Native SDK** : coming with SDK `1.31.0`. VMAP then works on both platforms with [`AdSourceType.BITMOVIN`](https://cdn.bitmovin.com/player/reactnative/1/docs/enums/AdSourceType.html#bitmovin), and IMA is optional since `1.30.0` ([Google IMA is now optional in the Bitmovin Player React Native SDK](https://community.bitmovin.com/t/google-ima-is-now-optional-in-the-bitmovin-player-react-native-sdk/3901)).
