# Add custom names for Live Event and VOD encodings - Dashboard Update

We’ve added a new custom name field to make it easier to track and manage multiple live event encodings! In the final step of our encoding UI, you can now add your own event name or ID. This should make life easier for everyone, especially if you’re running a high volume or multiple concurrent events.

VOD encoding jobs will default to using the input file name, but you can customize those names the same way. Any feedback or ideas for future improvements? Let us know in the comments.
